Meet Our Teachers

Rebecca Staats

Head Teacher & Director

I received my Masters in Child Development from Syracuse University where I studied  courses in Marriage and Family Therapy, Parenting, Advanced Child Development & Child Psychology because I wanted to better understand children and their families.

That has certainly  payed off. Many of the children at the school where I taught were non-English speaking, so I can say…  “Clean- up time”, “Snack time” and “Mommy will be back soon!”, in several languages.  I  did my Student Teaching in a Kindergarten class in Lincoln England, so I can do the accent.

Sara Beeler

Sara has been teaching at RCNS for 11 years and holds a Bachelors in Math Education from The University of New Hampshire and attended a graduate level teaching program at the University of Southern Maine.

Sara is the “Master Mind” of our RCNS Art Show which displays the brilliant creativity that the children express through our art materials and projects. Sara’s three children attended RCNS and she loves to create interactive STEM challenges in the science center.

Beth Cooper

Beth is a certified Early Childhood Teacher with 25 years of experience who enriches our curriculum with yoga and mindfulness.  As a certified children’s yoga instructor she believes that the benefits of the practice can’t be overemphasized.

Children pretend to be snakes and monkeys while singing and having fun. These activities improve balance, body awareness and strength while practicing mindfulness & breathing techniques improves concentration, self-regulation, and calm thoughts.

Melissa Dale

She is an expert at building relationships with three-year-olds and her favorite Art Project is Eye-dropper watercolors. She loves to watch the children laugh when the watercolors blend and change. Her two children attended RCNS and she has been teaching here for 8 years.
